Associate Program

Associate Member

If you are interested in joining The United Cherokee Nation (UCN) as an Associate / Adopted member and learning about the Tsalagi (Cherokee) history and rich culture from your local Clan members, you are welcome.

You do not have to be Tsalagi (Cherokee) or even a Native American to learn about our past. Associate / Adopted members are welcome at all meetings and gatherings but may not hold an office nor vote in Tribal elections per our bylaws. This membership is a good way to include a family member or adopted member, who does not have the required Tsalagi (Cherokee) ancestry, to become a member of The United Cherokee Nation (UCN). We welcome members of any other tribal group to join and share their history and culture with us and become part of The United Cherokee Nation (UCN) family.
