West Virginia Clan

O'siyo,

My name is Mark "Deerstalker" Stiefer, I am a member of the West Virginia Clan of The United Cherokee Nation (UCN). My grandmother was full-blood Cherokee, I am a great-great grandson of the Reverend Jesse Bushyhead who became Chief Justice of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma in 1840, until his death in 1844. I am proud of that fact, I am proud of where I came from.

I am here for the members of The United Cherokee Nation (UCN) in whatever form they wish , I have the same goals as everyone, to "Gather" the "Lost Cherokee", to bring our whole nation back together as one Cherokee Tribe. I am here for the West Virginia Clan and the whole nation, to help in any way that I can.

I serve The United Cherokee Nation (UCN), the West Virginia Clan, Chief Stone Bear and all of our people.

Wado,

Deerstalker

O’siyo,

My Name is Two Bears, I am also a member of the West Virginia Clan of The United Cherokee Nation (UCN)

My Grandfather named me when I was 5 years old, now I am 46. I live in Coalwood, West Virginia, where I’ve lived as a Cherokee all of my life. I am honored to be called to the Assistant Clan Chief position for the West Virginia Clan. With Chief Deerstalker, we plan to find as many of the Lost Tsalagi for our State Clan and "Gather" together to learn and teach our language, history and culture.

I have two children and four grandchildren, these teachings are very important to me, to pass on to the following generations. I was married for 26 years, now recently divorced. I use to work at Ford Motor Company, where I had to retire from, due to a work related disability. I now plan to spend my free time working for The United Cherokee Nation (UCN). I share this dream with the Elders and Tribal Council of Gathering all of the Lost Tsalagi. I love to hunt and fish in my spare time and find my peace in the woods.

Wado,

Two Bears
